I've been to functions at Fox Hill so many times that I've lost count. I live minutes from the course. Never in my imagination did I think that PSU would host an NEPA Event outside of Scranton or Wilkes-Barre. I saw this and was so pumped. I then saw the date. I have a work function that I can't get out of. FML.

I didn't realize this was happening tonight and I'm less than 5 mins from Fox Hill, and like you I'm stuck with a prior commitment.

IDK who runs the marketing effort for these events, but they need to take a long look in the mirror. Multiple posters (aka fanatics, aka money-spending fans, aka the exact target market) have no idea it’s happening even though they live nearby. Good lord. I’m sure 247 would give a complementary subscription, but I’m even more sure such a courtesy isn’t needed. The Philly event with Saquon was a disappointment mostly because no one was aware. The 247/On3/Rivals communities seem like low-hanging fruit to advertise.

It was absolutely packed tonight. Easily 200+ people. Fleming and Dawkins were awesome on the microphone, each incredibly well spoken and funny. Franklin stood in a line and took pictures with folks for probably 30-45 minutes. The players were very approachable and signed items for at least an hour. When Franklin and co were leaving, they almost left the Rose Bowl trophy in the lobby of Fox Hill. James and Jordan Hill were having a good laugh about it.

No, that can’t be true. I was told no one knew this event was happening. All those people must have been in the same place for unrelated reasons.

Also, Franklin addressed the White Out situation. Said he does not know who it will be and that they are at the mercy of the tv networks. They are trying like hell for OSU at night but Fox ultimately wants their top games at Noon. He also said he believes 4 SEC and 4 Big Ten teams in the playoff is a realistic possibility.

I attended this event last evening too and knew it was going to be well attended when I couldn’t find a parking spot. Everyone that has given a dollar to the collective was invited. Franklin mentioned that the event displayed the most enthusiasm of all the events they have attended. Coaches and players were great to talk with and very accessible. One last thing, Nick Dawkins is one large individual, wow.
