MASSENA — An abandoned Center Street cemetery has been spruced up thanks to a joint effort between the Cemetery Restoration Committee and Arconic employees as part of an Arconic Action Grant.
Town Historian MaryEllen Casselman, who formed the Cemetery Restoration Committee in 2014, said the Arconic Action Grant provided not only volunteers to help clean up the cemetery, but also funding to help with restoration of six abandoned cemeteries around the Massena area.
